Kees Rijnboutt

In 1964, Kees Rijnboutt graduated from the Delft University of Technology with distinction. In 1975 he started working for architekten-groep VDL. Between 1986 and 1990 he was a Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft; between 1989 and 1995 he was Chief Government Architect and during the period between 1995 and 1998 he was the City Urban Planner in The Hague. Between 1 January 2005 and late 2008, he was a co-director of Rijnboutt Van der Vossen Rijnboutt bv. On 1 January 2009, he became a co-director of Rijnboutt, created through the merger of Rijnboutt and CH & Partners. Until June 2009, Kees Rijnboutt was the chairman of the IJburg Quality Team. His work currently includes being a supervisor for the Southern banks of the river IJ, a supervisor for De Born in Wageningen and a member of the A4 Zone West Quality Team in Haarlemmermeer. In 2001 he was awarded the BNA Cube for his work as an architectural and urban planning ‘director’. In 2012 the The Bank project received the FGH Property Award.
